My name is Mark Leeds. I am a blogger and podcaster. Being a doctor is my day job. I like to listen, solve problems and help people.
There is so much good information out there in the world. Every day, I hear or read something that I can put to use in a productive way in my life. I also hear many people’s problems. By listening, reading, thinking and carefully paying attention, I am always collecting ideas, information and tools to solve problems. I try to put all of these things together in an organized way to help as many people as possible.
So, what is the best way to reach people? When I see patients, I can listen and provide helpful information that can make a difference, one person at a time. I also get calls from people from all over the country, asking for help with various issues relating to addiction treatment. I help people to find free treatment programs, reduced cost and free medication programs and more. Often, what seems obvious to me may not be obvious to someone else. By keeping this in mind, I find that I can be more helpful.
Blogging is a great way to provide useful information without having to repeat it over and over. These days, when I am asked certain questions, I direct the person to a particular blog post. If I have not written a post on the topic yet, I make a plan to sit down and write it. A blog is a great place to create a repository of tools to help people.
Podcasting takes the idea of sharing ideas that can make a difference a step further. When I was given the opportunity to start my podcast, I knew that I could not do it on my own. Fortunately, since starting the show, I have met some incredible people who have agreed to come on the show as guests. My guests have given some unbelievably great talks and have provided inspiration to me and to my audience.
I want to thank everyone who has contributed to The Rehab Podcast to make all possible. I find it joyful and peaceful to sit in my studio with my microphone and headphones, having a conversation with my guest. Then, the editing process is relaxing and rewarding.
If you are interested in being a guest on the show or if you know of someone who you think would make a great guest, please contact me here. Thank you!
